Meaningful Marketing: The GIANT present from TEDxKids@TheHill
Last weekend, a few TEDxKids@TheHill teammates built a giant present. What was the purpose? To further our meaningful marketing mission. Rather than mindlessly flyering our city using traditional promotion tactics, our aim is to foster meaningful interactions. Interactions that create a visceral connection between people.
The photo above introduces you to an overwhelmingly curious tyke, Mister Max. It also exemplifies our giant present project. We took this mammoth present around the city and encouraged people of all ages to engage with it and us. Overall, kids seemed to be less fearful of exploring the unusual sight.
Yet, there were a handful of adults who jumped at the chance to pose with the present. The above photo is one example. Two travellers, one from France and one from Australia were eager to hear about TEDxKids@TheHill. They promptly played with the present for a photoshoot. You can see more photos here.
